Overgrow The World 2013 Global Public Plantings
15th April - 18th June 2013

Beginning April 15th and ending June 18th, FREE TICKETS for everyone!

If you've got a stray seed you don't know what to do with, plant it somewhere where the plants can speak for themselves.

"Good seeds" go in places where they will NOT immediately be detected and chopped down. "Garbage seeds" can go in more public locations, like...in front of city hall, the gardens in front of the local courthouse, etc., where you KNOW they will not be allowed to mature.

It's YOUR town...YOU know where best to plant 'em!

Spring is only a few months away...if you haven't saved any seeds yet, there's still time to prepare! So get on it!

Join OTW today: https://www.facebook.com/groups/OvergrowTheWorld/

Get your FREE TICKETS to this year's events here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.409827722419601.92130.100001771291818&type=1

Maybe this is the year we finally get enough like-minded people together to Overgrow The World!

If we can achieve this, is the full REPEAL of prohibition far behind?

So, there is still much to do to improve the quality of cannabis in Holland, this is why we will again support our Dutch activists across the water. Treating Yourself magazine is excited to host the upcoming 4th Annual Treating Yourself Expo on May 24 – 26, 2013 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We are currently seeking vendors, exhibitors, and sponsors for this very high-profile event and we want you to be a part of it. Mark May 24 – 26, 2013 on your calendar and join patients, their friends and loved ones, professionals, distributors, manufacturers from the Alternative Medicine , Hemp , and the Medical Cannabis industries from across North America and Europe. Showcase, demonstrate, educate about, and sell your products to a wide range of attendees. Your product or service has the potential to reach thousands at the Expo!

From your product’s name on our event website, full page ads in Treating Yourself magazine issues #38 and #39, exposure of your product and/or services to not only the public in attendance and also our professional national media and public relations team; these are just a handful of the benefits our vendors will enjoy. Counting patients, vendors, medical and professionals from the alternative medicine and hemp industries among it’s expected attendance of 20,000+. Treating Yourself Magazine’s 4th Annual Expo promises to be a world stage like no other seen before in Canada, offering three days of networking, learning, advertising, and vending in an interactive, inclusive environment.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this extraordinary event!

Treating Yourself .Com was founded in May 2002 by Marco Renda. In 2005 we started our publication and is now distributed in countries world-wide, Treating Yourself is a journal written for patients, by patients. Our mission is to build awareness, generate interest, educate and provide our readers (which include medical cannabis, alternative medicine users, members of the hemp community, their caregivers, professionals in this and related industries) with conscientious, ethical, and reliable information to assist them with the management of their wide and varied health needs and provide them with access to safe and reliable products.

To help us achieve this goal, the 2013 Expo will be hosting a series of workshops, seminars, on subjects like alternative medicine , medical cannabis, activism, security and safety, nutrition, hemp, cooking, and more.

This one-of-a-kind event will also have a government-approved 4200 square foot vapor lounge to accommodate medical cannabis patients who can feel comfortable and relaxed medicating. While there is absolutely no selling or distributing of cannabis permitted at the Expo, we encourage patients to bring their own medicine along with them, as vaporizers of all makes and models will be available for use. Our hope is to give patients an opportunity to determine which type is most suitable for their individual needs.

By joining us as a vendor and saying yes to the exhibit opportunities of Canada’s 4th Annual Treating Yourself Expo in 2013, you’re saying yes to the growth of your brand’s visibility among the consumers and decision-makers of your target market. This year will offer our vendors unique opportunities to exhibit their merchandise. You will also be extending your reach to a national and world-wide audience. With representatives, sponsors, vendors, and professionals from across Canada and around the world, there’s no better place for you to showcase your products and information.

Check out our event website here and register early for your best chance at securing your first-choice location on our expansive floor plan. I am also pleased to answer any questions you may have about the event at the email address listed below.

You can also reach me at (647) 346-2700 (office), (905) 334-1196 (cell)

Hemp Heals
7th September 2013

2013 Festival lineup TBA. This years festival will once again include great tunes, different industrial hemp vendors, speakers, hemp education, foods, drinks and more! Why we are having the festival: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates, father of medicine, 431 B.C. HEMP is the world’s most perfect plant, from seed to leaf. It has thousands of eco friendly uses that could help save the economy. Eating nutrient rich superfoods like hemps seeds, help heal the body and help prevent most disease. Adding these healing seeds to your diet will fuel your body with high amounts of EFA’s (essential fatty acids or omegas), which have many anti inflammatory properties. Hemp is also a good source of highly digestible protein and fiber just to name a few. Adding more superfoods to your diet will enhance the quality of life for all people. Prevention of disease is often overlooked due to the lack of education on the subject.

Hempstalk 2013
7-8 September 2013

Portland's annual Hempstalk Festival in Portland, Oregon advocates decriminalization of marijuana for medicinal, industrial, and recreational use. Founded in 2005 by the Hemp and Cannabis Foundation, the festival takes place the weekend after Labor Day in September, and features food vendors, live music, guest speakers and information booths. This public event has always been free to attend.

According to Paul Stanford, founder and presenting sponsor of the event, "Hempstalk is about the many uses of agricultural hemp fiber, oil, protein, fuel and medicine. We are working to end adult cannabis prohibition, allow adults to grow their own and license the legal sale of psychoactive cannabis to adults. We believe that hemp will save the Earth's biosphere with the adoption of hemp seed for bio-diesel fuel, which will solve the energy and world hunger problems, and stop deforestation when hemp fiber is used for paper and building materials."

Hempstalk organizers believe the reason marijuana is illegal has very little to do with drugs, and is really about money and the continued centralization of economic and political control. Hemp seed oil is biodiesel, is three times more productive than any other seed oil crop, and will run any diesel engine today with no modification. Hemp oil is the reason the petrochemical industry made up the "reefer madness" myth. They renamed hemp, using racist propaganda, calling it marijuana, and lied to make it illegal. There is a truth that must be heard! This is what the Hempstalk Festival is all about.

In 2009, the Hempstalk Festival moved to Kelley Point Park, in the far Northwest corner of Portland, at the confluence of the Columbia River and the Willamette River. It is estimated that over 30,000 people attended the two-day event in 2012.

Over the years, Hempstalk has had a wide variety of musical performers on stage, like Native American political activist, poet and songwriter John Trudell and his band Bad Dog; Folk Uke, featuring Amy Nelson and Cathy Guthrie, daughters of Willie Nelson and Arlo Guthrie; the Herbivores; Rocker T; Human and the Human Revolution; Binghi and the Seventh Seal; State of Jefferson; Marquee; Pass Margo; Tim Pate and many more.

In addition to the musical acts featured, the event offers educational guest speaker panels to inform attendants about industrial hemp, the legal use of marijuana, and answer other questions attendees may have.

Hempstalk guest speakers have included THCF and CRRH Director and Author of the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act Paul Stanford, Oregon NORML Director Madeline Martinez, West Coast Leaf Producers Chris Conrad and Mikki Norris, Comedian and Writer Ngaio Bealum, Author Bill Drake, Dr. Tod Mikuriya, Dr. Phillip Leveque, Seattle Hempfest Director Vivian McPeak, and Hemp Pioneers Jack Herer and Don E. Wirtshafter.

Having a variety of speakers compliments the wide range of musical acts that take to the Hempstalk stage. They have been educational and informative, discussing the merits of Cannabis and Hemp on the main stage as well as in the Hemposium pavilion. It is our hope that the Hemposium will continue to evolve and grow, providing experts and information from doctors, lawyers and local business people working to promote Hemp and Cannabis.

With all of the entertainment and education that Hempstalk offers, there are also hundreds of food and goods vendors that contribute wonderful dishes and beautiful wares for purchase in the many vendor booths. There are so many that have joined the Hempstalk Festival vendor list, guests are sure to find a surprise around every corner.

Hempstalk would like to thank our supporters for all they have given to hemp and cannabis reform. This group of dedicated activists has given their efforts to spreading awareness about hemp and cannabis and working for policy reformation across the country and around the world. Please support every one of them in any way you can.

To everyone who has participated, volunteered, and helped make Hempstalk possible, we thank you and look forward to a fun and informative Hempstalk 2013!
